‘Engaging Communities’ Module at Aston

This module aims to prepare participants to engage communities and neighbourhoods in practical activity addressing issues relating to climate change through processes of social learning, community action and good practice case study analysis.

Topics covered include:

  • Understanding the causes and impacts of climate change
  • What actions make a difference
  • Why community action matters
  • Good practice in employee engagement
  • Counting carbon in the community
  • A strategic approach to climate change
  • Joining it all up – the importance of partnership working
  • Adapting to climate change
  • Sustainable development and climate change
  • Developing and managing a community climate change project
