Home Energy Advice Scheme (Moseley and Balsall Heath)

Would you like help to save energy at home and reduce your gas and electricity bills ?

Now you can have a free advice session from a Home Energy Advisor in Moseley and Balsall Heath.

A fully trained advisor, will look in detail at how you use energy at home. They will suggest ways you could save energy, from no-cost, easy changes to major improvements, such as loft insulation or replacing your boiler.

You may be eligible to have work done for free, in which case the advisor will help with the application and advise on suitable installers. Grants are available for at the elderly, those eligible for disability benefits, and households with young children.

The aims of the project are to help people stay warm, save money, and to help meet local carbon dioxide reduction targets. This is part of a wider project coordinated by Northfield Eco-centre, and funded by Birmingham City Council’s ‘Working Neighbourhood Fund’.

Moseley Community Development Trust is working with local groups like SusMo, housing associations and churches, to deliver this new service.
