BBC WM Radio used this (Windsor event) as opportunity to discuss faith and climate change… with my Birmingham Council of Faiths (BCF) scarf I was interviewed for the radio programme last Sunday morning (18 Oct @ 7.40am). Faith & Climate Change is a member of BCF (and I’m also on Steering Group of F&CC). Love God, love Creation! In peace, Rianne

And more good news re faith & environment: the Archbishop of Canterbury recently invited leaders of all faiths to come up with a joint declaration, which includes: “We recognise unequivocally that there is a moral imperative to tackle the causes of global warming. This is reinforced by the reality that it is the poor and vulnerable who are most profoundly affected by the environmental impact of climate change – especially drought, floods, water shortages and rise in sea levels. Faith communities have a crucial role to play in pressing for changes in behaviour at every level of society and in every economic sector. We all have a responsibility to learn how to live and develop sustainably in a world of finite resources.” For more info: http://www.archbishopofcanterbury.org/2583
With my Muslim scarf on: Islam was represented amongst others by the Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Sciences (IFEES). In peace, Rianne
